Bendemeer is one of my favourite stops on the "New England" (well to be correct  the corner of the New England and the Oxley) I'd love to do a meet up at Walcha one day "State of Origin" ride!!

Yep I reckon that should be on the card, I am sure a few Sydney members would be happy to make the trip up the Putty and Thunderbolts. Man I cant wait for this weekend!

ok, well had an excellent weekends ride up in New England, great weather and not a poh leese man in sight.

From Sydney, we left Friday morning and did the Putty, Buckets and Thunderbolts and then from Walcha headed to Bendemeer where we spent the night Friday in the Bendemeer Hotel.

Saturday we took the New England Highway and had breakfast in Armidale, then headed over to Dorrigo. That road to Dorrigo is sensational. Then we took the Pacific Highway back down to Wauehope then up the Oxley to Gingers Creek and on to Walcha, where we stayed Saturday night.

The Oxley as ever was tyre shredding Mayem

Today we headed back the way we came.

Anyway, I promised I would come back on the fueling and it was spot on all weekend, was getting bit worse fuel consumption on account of the riding but still about 5ltr/100km (56mpg) Sppedo cable died at the weekend so didnt keep more precise measurements.

Took the now mandatory plug and piston crown pics though

so all looks good

Looking at your tire in the picture, it looks that you have to much rebound damping.

If you look at the thread on the tire, one edge is sharp and the other rounded - usually indicates rebound issues (assuming tire pressure is correct...)

So you're saying that the tire pressure may also be the cause :?:
