How far can I pull the forks trought before things start causing problems? As the wife is a bit short in the leg fitting a jack up kit to the back isent posible, the forks are pushed trough 30mm at the moment.

I don't think it's possible to give a specific number here ...

You will have to try out by yourselves - but (as you might already know) beware: the more you pull the forks through the yoke the less directional stability you will get!

18mm above the clamp is standard, people run 28mm without any trouble.

does your wife ride it?
or is the problem getting her on the back seat?
if its only stepping up to the pillion, perhaps just run the bike in alongside the kerb and you have 100-150mm there.
i run kaylas dogbones and a 15mm over std fork drop.
combined with the R6 shock it suits me fine one up.

The wife rides the bike ( she`s pretty quick to), I`ve riden the bike and the handling feels slow, I`ts fully rebuilt bike with New Dunlop Sport Smarts etc. etc., a set of dog bones would work but as she is a bit short in the leg and the bike being a bit top heavy I didnt want it any taller so droping the forks through was an idea,just wanted to know if there was a set amount to drop the forks through. VERY nice she looks too, I like the matt black frame, swingarm and engine cases / cam cover with that colour scheme, sets it of well.

I have dropped the forks to about 32 mm and no probs. Standard dog bones.

Thats a really nice colour scheme, like the clutch and oil pump covers as well...and the rear tail..are they a sticker kit .?

The black on your rearsets and yolk/yzf rear..powdercoated..or two pack..??

The frame, wheels, swingarm, rocker cover etc. etc. are powder coated satin black, the engine cases are powder coated a metalic gray with the `plastic` caseings painted a similar colour to standard, All the bodywork was painted by me, I did motorcycle paintwork (inc. helmets) as a buisnes/hobby for over 20 years.
