How to put on Stickers
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know how to put on the original, genuine parts yamaha TRX, front fairing stikers?
Some say that you have to wash the fairing with water and soap, and then put the stickers on the wet fairing, and wait till it get dry.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!

2 methods:
1 is to use a bit of soapy water. This allows the sticker to slide about so you can get it perfectly in plcae. The water then evaporates and ....
Number 2 is to use a piece of masking tape to hold one side of the sticker in place (a bit like a hinge). Then remove opposite backing a stick down.

I thought if you used the soapy water method you have to use a squeegy to push the water out from underthe sticker so it will stick .... not just leave it to dry ???
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

Yes you should use a squeegy, only use soapy water for real tricky jobs.Red Rex wrote:I thought if you used the soapy water method you have to use a squeegy to push the water out from underthe sticker so it will stick .... not just leave it to dry ???

Re: How to put on Stickers
yes use a little liquid soap n water in a mist spray bottle, spray the adhesive side of the sticker and the area to be applied, then place sticker, then mist with spray, then squeege down with a rubber squeege, you should now have applied a perfect sticker with no bubbles or scratches
if its too hard, your doing it wrong.

yep..the water/soapy media stops air bubbles forming under the sticker by fluid surface tension..pom in nz wrote:yes use a little liquid soap n water in a mist spray bottle, spray the adhesive side of the sticker and the area to be applied, then place sticker, then mist with spray, then squeege down with a rubber squeege, you should now have applied a perfect sticker with no bubbles or scratches
