Right, so the conclusion is to leave the oil where it is, just to be ready for a minor oil spillage? So I am not removing oil pump? Meaning the action of pulling out the chain and installing the new one can be carried out by removing just a oil pump cover? ;)

Yes you`ll only loose the quantity oil in the pumps and surrounding cases and yes again, you can leave the oil tank filled with oil.
If the bike is leaning to it`s left on the stand the oil loss will be minimal.

Obviously this doesn't apply if you are removing the pump itself - only the cover

Surely the pumps have to be removed if you`re changing the cam chain though? (I`ve not done mine yet) put me right if I`m mistaken folks?
Even though the pumps carry some oil when stationary the loss should be minimal as the oil return to the tank is above the tanks full oil level and with the bike leaning to the sidestand the oil in the motor will pool over the other side of the crankcases.

Ok folks! Chain is out. To remove the chain you have to remove oil pumps. Therefore all the oil will be gone as well. There isn't really way around it. What I've done is:
1. Removed oil pump cover- you were right- no oil at this stage.
2. Removed plastic sprockets (which connects camshaft with oilpumps)
3. Drained the oil through the oil plug
4. Removed the filter (hoping that it would drain the rest of the oil)
5. After removing oil pumps I've discovered that there is more oil coming, which seemed like is going back into the engine (as my bike is standing on it's leg leaning left)
6. Excessive oil started to come out from the centre plug on the left side. -Obviously when all the oil was out, it was out
7. I've easily removed the chain.

So my question is how bad is nr 7.? Haven't got the new chain yet, so I have to postpone the assembly.

You can compare the old chain with the new when you have it, then you`ll see the amount of stretch.
Wemoto do cam chains at good prices you should go for a good brand name like DID, which this is.

second plug isn't really a drain plug- it is a centre plug for starter cover. (right next to timing inspection plug.)

Look further under the motor on the bottom left of the crankcase, you`ll see the other drain plug.
