Re: Flywheel puller
VERY likely Yamaha generic M27 x 1.00, I can tell you the Yamaha part number of the rotor puller:
90890 - 01362
Crankshaft protector plate assy:
90890 - 01382
Looking on the web it would appear that the rotor puller fits from the YBR125 up to the XVS1100 and all sorts in-between, so it would appear to be a generic Yamaha (and likely other Japanese bikes too), puller.
Oh and even from that cmsnl outfit, the Yamaha one is 274 Euro`s!!!!!

Look how cheap you can buy them if you know the thread sizes and whether left or right hand:

Re: Flywheel puller
I have found on MANY bikes I have owned that either the swingarm bolt or axle bolt and an impact driver makes a great free flywheel puller. Not sure about the trx though.

Re: Flywheel puller
I've found with the TRX that i didn't need a puller at all. Utilised the 3 tapped threads in the flywheel. Disc bolts are the right size. I used an allen key t'bar. Tightened them up by hand and pop,off it came. Clutch basket was the one i had trouble with

Re: Flywheel puller
The easiest way to do the clutch is to use an impact gun ...... saves all that clutch holding tool stuff and handy for the sprocket nut tooKevtrx849 wrote:I've found with the TRX that i didn't need a puller at all. Yup, used my rattle gun. Tried holding onto the basket with a rag to prevent it spinning, no good. Put a large screwdriver through it to hold it and promptly snapped some alloy off. Good thing i've got a spare one. Live and learn.
