Thats a true work of art mate, well done.

Usually I see a home-made custom and think "Nice but ... I'd change ....." but with yours everything is spot on! 8)

Thanks Dave!

This is why i took my time building it this time because i was determined not to compromise anything in any area - i was in a hurry first time round & always said i'd do it differently if i bought it back.

Only compromise i had to make in the last week was to drop the Lithium race battery - the TRX ate it in less than 8 miles & left me stranded. Unfortunately this has added 3 Kg's back onto the bike as i've had to replace it with a 'glass mat technology' unit. So weight saving over stock bike is now ONLY (!) around the 28Kg mark #-o

There is a lot of hours gone into that mate. Top job, and I just love your attention to detail.

It`s stunning C, but I`ve been party to the progress from early on so know just how much hard graft has gone into it (and Wendle`s bike too).
You two will sure light up any TRX gatherings with your bikes that`s for sure.
Mine has gone somewhat into hiatus just now, I`ve been too busy grabbing any good weather we`ve been getting up here to get out on the Skorpion. Alba West rally last weekend, ferkin Scandinavian biker bus set me back 300 quid the week previous!
Then in July it`s the 40th anniversary race meeting at my club circuit 9th and 10th and what with shifts and overtime I`ve booked up to cover it`ll not be finished for the Bulldog in the second week of August that`s for sure.

Make sure you & Dawn pop by for a catch up when you're down in August for the bash Mince - the dog misses you terribly

As always, anything i can help with on the Rex in the meantime to save time just holla - although now i have some time on my hands i'm thinking of another TDR250 project if i can find one!?

Kayla - that is such a 'bird' comment!! :thumbleft:

Designed the scheme myself (whilst keeping it Yamaha) pal of mine did the airbrushing at a very reasonable cost - thanks Keith @ Nasty Paint! I've managed to aquire a full set of spare bodywork whilst sourcing other bits which he's going to paint to his own design which apparently i have no say over at all - could be interesting, i'll post details when done.

Thanks to everyone for their positive comments too, much appreciated :D

 Which battery did you use? I've got a 4-cell 2300mAh LiFePO (about 400g!) on my FZR4/6 and it's been fine. I've sold the bike but I'm getting an SZR in a week or so and was going to use an 8-cell 4600mAh one on that.

I used an 8 cell with it being a high comp engine. The problem appears to be if you get a slight 'spike' in the ignition (which you will get with most road bikes) it simply fries the cells.

It let me down twice in a week so i won't be chancing another one as i don't want to get stuck 100 miles from home because of a battery. I'm gutted as i'd been on here singing it's advantages & telling everyone to buy one & now i'm saying the opposite
