Which air filter

Post by mpanting » Sun Apr 17, 2011 1:48 am

Hi all,

Ol' Trixy is basically standard as far as i know.
She does have 'Magnum' pipes.
Can i fit an after market air filter that will give me more power or does this involve some carb tuning?
If there is one...which one should i get?

Cheers!

K&N will work great with standard jetting & standard airbox.

What will changing to K&N (no other mods) do? More air through a K&N filter so runs leaner and since TRX is generally a rich runner so this is an OK balance?
Projection Racing 2-1 with Akropovic hex carbon can, Keihin FCRs @ 150 main, R6 shock conversion, 520 chain conversion, Ignitech ignition, Li-po battery. Further weight reduction & front suspension in progress ....

Yes. I dont think a k&n type give any great hike in performance but i bought one cheap and at least it's cleanable and re-usable.
