Re: Oilpressure light - from German forum
Hey guys,
this is a German version, but google-translator can help
So I am also of the opinion that one must have something like 4 stroke, is absolutely current standard have - why the Yamaha engineers left out the warning, even though this place is
Anyway, I've upgraded my book now part of Sun - actually the Elm'sche method, only somewhat refined Wink
Here are the parts needed:
- banjo bolt M10x1.25
- oilpressure switch VW-Bus T2/T3 (0.15-035 bar, at the highest point since I Siphon - but it is also 0.3-0.6 bar)
- lamp from Yamaha Cockpit
Then you need an adapter to bolt together and oil pressure switch also presented the following:
this is the result: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-2659375/IMG_7593.jpg.html
installed: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-2659388/IMG_7600.jpg.html
Das Anschließen an die Instrumentierung ist dann der einfache Teil:
Kabel vom Öldruckschalter zur Kontrollampe, und dann auf Plus - habe hierzu beim Drehzahlmesser die Stromversorgung (Braun) angezapft.
Then a red lens (from old bicycle taillight implanted) and finished is the oil pressure lamp:
Ignition on - engine out - no pressure - lamp lights: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-2659392/IMG_7602.jpg.html
engine runs - pressure is there - lamp out: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-2659393/IMG_7603.jpg.html
For questions or needed help, I am happy to
Marc
