What does a TRX engine sound like ?

Does it have a ticking noise, can you hear the cams, etc ... my one has been rebuild .. AGAIN ... and it pulls really hard, engine brakes hard (so compression is good) but it still has this constant ticking noise. No one has a TRX that i know, so i can compare it.

Also, when im slowing down almost to a dead stop it starts to pop, ive got a full exaust, i dont know if thats normal.

I thought it was broke first time i heard it....itÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â´s a tractor!! It ticks rattles etc. etc.

Is it the motor wich pops when going to a halt?
I had small popping jerks when almost at a stop a while back, fixed it with a new chain and sprockets....

Well that makes me a lot better Killerwhale, because like i said, it pulls hard, stops well, does everything its supposed to, has so much power thru the entire rev range. But still rattles like a tractor.

Well, the 1098R kinda sound as if broke to (for other reasons but...) but runs quite nice...

If you think the TRX rattles listen to a duke on tick over, bag of spanners. If your back firing on the over run after shutting it down then its too rich, TRX's are set up from standard as that, try a K & N air filter.

the backfiring ,,i also believe there could be a problem with the valve in the carb iam not sure what its called but its behind the white plastic disk held on with two screws on the side of the carb
