Shims for the DIY men

Post by HansJ » Mon Oct 29, 2007 9:39 pm

I got pissed paying 7 Euro a piece for the shims, and finally bought a shims set from hotcams (and no, don't go to http://www.hotcams.com, it's not what You want, well, at least not for shimming valves, ehrmm...). The set costed me ca 120 Euros, and has 3 shims of each size, from 120 to 350. Yamaha has for some reason chosen to sell 240 as the largest size, so only this made it worthwhile for me... There might be other suppliers as well, but i thought it was worthwhile mentioning, it's less than a Euro per shim, even if I brought my old shims and got used ones back, I was asked for more than 3,5 Euro a piece.
