OE clutch friction plates

My clutch has 5 x friction plates with FP1 on one of the tabs and 4 x FP2 on the tabs both plates are stamped 383.
The colour of the friction material looks to be the same and the friction material is sintered on all of the plates. On some of the later TDM engines the first and the last friction plate are of different material and are black in colour, I presume that these are not sintered and are kinder to the aluminium faces of the clutch hub and the pressure plate.
My question is does anyone know if there is a difference between the plates marked FP1 and FP2 as they look identical to me. I've searched this forum and the internet but have been unable to find an answer.

Hello sadmansteve,
At the risk of shouting into the void because you have given up waiting for an answer and bought yourself a Honda, I too have a mixture of FP1 and FP2 plates. As you observe they appear to be identical. Haynes makes no reference to numbering, so not sure if code is significant or not. I do have a problem with a clunky gearbox, and I'm going over to tech tips to describe how I achieved a slight improvement...
