No TPS mount plus I think you'll also find the throttle cable pull may be from a different angle. They run a much larger pilot jet too and you want to look at the length of the inlet stub length but that's usually an fcr issue but worth checking just in case.

Re: Ducati carbs match ?
My TRX runs beautifully on a Mikuni TDMR carbie (from a 900SS I believe). I think I got it from Cobba if I remember correctly. See list attached showing that the Ducatis use the TDMR40-B14 version while the TRX850 uses the TDMR40-B11 version. I cant remember what the difference was between the two, but shouldnt be too hard to find the info on the internet. As mentioned above, the throttle cables come in from the rear on the Ducati versions, I looked into buying the Mikuni bracket that would change it so that cables come in from the front, but it was stupidly expensive. In the end I just bought a set of DIY longer throttle cables and made up a new set that enters from the rear.
And yes you will need to play with the jets. I remember getting another pilot jet, but I think the rest of the jets worked just fine. I use a ignitech, so not having a TPS is not a issue.
According to your link it is going for only 90 pounds. Bargain, that wont last long.
TDRM40 list can be seen here:
