Should one flow the head, would it be suitable to bore standard carbs to 40mm?

I've looked at this in the past and yes it's do-able, as there is enough "meat" to allow 1-2mm to be removed, the only issue is the butterfly or more importantly finding one that will suit the new bore size. In the end I looked at the cost and amount of work to get it running (jets are an issue, and getting the right spring compression on the slide, as is Dyno time) and decided that the smart money was on a second-hand set of FCR's or TDM's already feted for the TRX. Although I'd like to play with a set of flat slide push-pull's from one of the many aftermarket manufactures, I do have a soft spot for Lectron carb's :D
If it's not made in China, it's a fake!
