Emulsion tubes

Post by bane » Thu Sep 15, 2016 3:18 am

Does anyone here know if the partshark/partzilla 93 tdm emulsion tubes can be used with the trx?
Different part numbers 3GM-14141-92 for the trx, 3GM-14141-94 the tdm. The factory pro tubes
are listed as interchangeable with both so I'm presuming yes. I have keysters in at the moment but i
don't need a full overhaul, just tubes.

cheers,
Bane.

If it has a different part number then it will have some variation.
Yamaha did not renumber parts for no reason.
It may well fit, but it will be different.

They are slightly different, Mk1 TDM uses Y-4 while Mk2 TDM and TRX use Y-2. I believe this is a slight variation in length between the two tubes. Whether it really makes any difference though..?

Of course Factory Pro considers the difference to be insignificant..
'95 4NX with K&N filter, Motad Venom cans, YSS PD valves, Ohlins fork springs, 530 C+S, Green CDI, 11/16 radial master cylinder, +30mm jack up dog bones. Enjoyable money pit.
