bar end mirrors
How do i remove the ball end on the handlebars so that can install bar end mirrors.

They have a spline on them and are a press fit. They're very difficult to remove without damaging them.
If you don't mind marking them, use a big pair of multigrips (or similar) and just pull/wriggle them out.

I cut mine to flatten off first. Then drilled through the centre. With a punch hammered the edges in to break and weaken the diameter. Repeat with the punch till all of it falls to bits. Easy. Almost impossible to pull off. Forget it.
