hi can anyone tell me what size brake mastercylinder I need to use with blue spot calipers

It depends on what brake performance and feel you want and how much you want to spend.

thanks stu99 I just need to know the Yamaha one for now ,there was no mastercylinder on it when I got it ,just want to get it on the road

14mm , I placed a list of 50 odd motorcycles that use a 14mm master as std so its easy to find one of a number of bike at the wreckers and most use the Nissan M/c.
Choice of brake pad is critical on performance and has a lot to do with initial bite, outright stopping power and longevity.
I've set mine up with just your everyday 14mm axial ( not radial) master cylinder and have no issues at all and I've achieved exactly what I wanted and expected from the front brake set up.

Handy tip is to spend a little time and get some 400 wet n dry and clean all the old pad build up on the discs so you don't corrupt the new pads in the blue spots.
If your using the old pads already in the blue spots, scuff them up too by rubbing them against the concrete.
