Next challenge with the motor rebuild will be to respray the completed motor next week.
I'm thinking on a Matt black so any advise on a good quality paint to do the job would be appreciated.

I think this stuff was discussed in a thread quite a while back.

I used 2k paint
For the clutch cover, water pump cover etc I applied with a gun and for the head, barrels and cases I and applied it with a brush. I really spent a lot of time cleaning it before applying the primer and used a brush and thick coats. It is holding up very well.
The main thing was cleaning really really well with solvents to remove and trace of oil or dirt.
2k will hold up to the heat fine.
If you dont have a belly pan the front of the engine behind the headers cops a lot of stone from the frone wheel so might be worth using stone chip there to protect it.
