Front Paddock stand

Post by Silver » Wed Jun 04, 2014 11:24 am

For anyone needing a front stand and can do basic metalwork, here is the one i made at home.
I finally got round to measuring it and doing some basic drawings.

I made it out of what i had available, but as long as you use the basic dimensions it should be ok. However i do have a cbr front end, but it shouldnt be far out.
If anyone makes one let me know how you get on, then i can change the drawing if necessary.
Much safer and quicker than rods and axle stands.

Handy mount points there on the front of the motor.
I use the same point and I just slip a short rod in each side and use a pair of adjustable car stands. One slips under easily on the right while the bike is on the side stand and just rock it up onto it and slide the other Inplace with your foot.
You can still easily use a paddock stand on the rear two bobbins to lift the back wheel up while up on the front stands too getting both wheels off the ground.
