Not 2-3 no. Maybe an extra 1. I managed an extra 2 in the midrange (but that's with gas flowing, big bore kit etc and many hours on the dyno).

i don't use the TPS mod on the road - don't like it. For the track it's great though

Thanks for the offer, Bob, but with my memory I would probably forget to send it back! #-o

I am curious about it though, does it just short the two wires to earth?

I have had a play with unplugging the TPS from the carby, that does the same thing I understand.

Does the OVER unit remap the spark at all ? id still love to get a .BIN dump of the spark tables. One day i will do it myself, as i suspect its never properly been done for the "consumer".. Only at a "OEM" level, or after market company, such as OVER.

All i have is my spark tables which i generated and am still tuning, id love to compare it for interest sake.

Just need to plug my new CDI in and i can connect the laptop and download the file.
It´s tested out by a German dude on the dyno...

ohhh very intesting. I had a similar concept, but using a RS232 connection.. Just dump the entire ROM chip and go from there.. Ive got a few other projects going on atm, so its at the bottom of a VERY long list.
Post up anything you got, im quite interested in it.. Im sure some others would like to have a poke around too.. Compare spark advance to the TPS mod.. see how much it actually advances it.

So, with that Ignitech CDI you can adjust the ignition timing? How do you know you're running a roughly correct map? Does the new one come with a selection of maps/curves to suit a range of bikes, say IL4 400 to a twin 850?

Nah, mine are made by a dude with virtually same setup at Topham (some of you might heard of him) in Germany...but if you run your 4 bikes down to the shop i don´t see why you couldn´t use it for multiple bikes.

i suspect he took a dump, and just manually tweaked it.. so its nice and calm at idle, but more agressive up top. Much like TPS mod, and possibly a degree extra. Many manuf's use the timing / exhaust / fuel combos for emission regulations. Its why powercommander / yoshi / arrow make good money on after market gear.. No restrictions on them.. Its up to the end user.
