Re: Phillip Island on October 10/11 anyone?
Hi mates!
Landed in Melbourne as planned on 3rd at 9:30 p.m.
In the meantime I had a great drive on the Great Ocean Road with my rented Hyundai i20- only the slow tourists in front of me spoiled some of the twisties, but I left them behind me after all
Then stayed in Port Campbell and had a very tasty Barramundi fillet!
Yesterday, I was heading to Grampions National Park and since there were no vacancies in Hall's Gap I drove on to Stawell.
From there I had a little day's round trip to the Little Desert National Park.
All very nice so far and only 4 times I was a few meters on the right, what is the wrong side here in fact ...
Tomorrow I'll try to find an accomodation in Geelong or the surroundings, before it's finally time for my stay on PI!
Made just a little less than 200 pictures so far (enough space on ny 16GB SD card), a few of them will show up here after my return home.
Touristic greetings from ... Stawell, VIC.!

Re: Phillip Island on October 10/11 anyone?
Hi mates - how ya goin'?
Home again safely - after 16.000 km flight to Oz, 5.000 km drive through Oz (and extra let's say 500 km on PI ) and again 16.000 km flight back.
I was very lucky with the weather, also lucky to only smell the bush fires and see the smoke and a lot of burnt trees ...
Sorting out the pictures is a work in progress at the mo - counting up to above 1.600 it'll take it's time ... especially, since I'm working again (now for one and a half week - after nearly a one year's abstinence I have to get used to it again ...) .
But no worries, the report and the piccies are to come (maybe still this year ).
It was a great pleasure for me to be able to visit Australia, watch some humpbacks and meet very nice people as Dave (davamb) and Bob (Wombat) with his family!
Reminiscing greetings from Munich (again)!

Hi sanddune!
... got fired on December 18, 2012 and got released immediately.
The dismissal came to effect on January 1, 2013 and I had half a year's notice.
Then I was unemployed from July 1 until the end of October - got the new job in September and could choose whether to start there on October 1 or November 1.
Choose November and went to Oz in October.
That makes nearly a year without working - that easy
Explained greetings from Munich!
