Ulster GP

Post by Silver » Tue Aug 20, 2013 9:23 am

Just back from our annual trip.
Went from Holyhead to Dun Loahaire on the fast boat and rode up to Lisburn and stayed in B&B there. The Dundrod was rained off but the Ulster went ahead. Beleive it is on BBC Ni which i think can be seen on the i player. Rained every day except sunday coming home.
Did about 1000 miles on the alp, very comfy.
Wouldnt stay in lisburn again as there arent many bars restaurants. Hillsborough is supposed to be better but might try Larne next time.

Hi Silver, thanks for coming over to our side of the pond. Hope you enjoyed the racing, and you are right about Lisburn. There's not a lot going on. Hillsborough is much better.

Watched it on Iplayer - crackin' races :D

I did Dundrod a few times in the 80s - it's such a quick circuit - got to be treated with respect but really rewarding when things flow
