Another Super bike weekend over and as usual excellent . The racing was top shelf and the riders are tough with a few unfortunately tasting bitumen . Us mortals would go looking for a little lay down to get over a spill , these guys rush off to the pits to get another bike . As usual we do it hard with poor food and drink . Our grew was at near full strength so a few pics were in order . I won't give results for those who haven't seen the race . There was a splattering of REX"S around the track , anyone from here

get in the way here and you could lose a finger during the feeding frenzy

Image

I may need to get rid of my Kawa shirt after the poor results , might have to put the Rex back on the track

Image

The Australian Yabby with a side dish of aussie tiger prawns , wonder what the poor people are doing

Got to test ride a powerful beast. The bike not my mate

Heaps ask and we just point to the front of the shirt , we have our given names .
Geriatric -- I'm the pres and oldest fart
Bitumen biter ---- Crashed on his first track day has improved since then , done 2 more track days and has stayed upright
Kodac kid --- can't ride for shit so takes the pics and videos , serves drinks at days end
pit bitch --- likes to feel needed so does the petrol top ups , bike stands / warmers etc and visor cleaning
Door jam --- rides very well , likes to close the door on me into corners
Snag man -- recently lost his track virginity ,ride ok , works in the meat industry , supplies and cooks lunch
Injured digit -- crashed in his first race meeting and his missus only lets him do ride days

The GFB team sponsored a BBQ at the local bowls club and all thought we where ok if a little mad

and it was a damn fine meet this year, although a little quiet.
Ripped off on the afternoon race, called after 14 laps (of 26) after someone stopped at Siberia for a serios smoko -having deposited the lubricating fluids a few hundred metres along the way.

Saw some TRX's 4 or 5 maybe and met a lovely "Amy" with "one sitting in my backyard".

Cheers

Don't think you'll get a reply Alex as the pics are over 4 years old
As for the supers this year, i went through the starting lineup and only recognized 3 or 4 top names. This series really is in decline. MV Augusta took out the supersport though 8) 8) 8) As for the Suzuki blowing up and leaving an oil slick around the track well that made for some interesting lines from the following pack before they red flagged it.

Kev nowadays I'm just a lurka on the site , the pics maybe 4 years old but I have matured another 4 years into the more handsomer grey hair department. I was there Sunday cheering on Eugene and MV, pity he had a bike faiure second race. Swapped the Rex for a gs1000 1978 ( very good condition) . crashed the rsv4 last Dec at broadford , put it on road rego and will sell with 4950 km on the clock to some lucky bastard.

G'day fellas
Nice to see the old guys still here.
I wonder how many TRX owners also have big aprilia's?
Seems to be fairly large number of us.

The crash has finished my track days and may also put an end to bike riding. The plan was to do a few thousand track klm then sell the aprilia I did 4 thousand track klm so I got my dollars worth. Bike balance is my only concern I will give it 6 months and see if I'm ok for the odd sunday ride on my club plate bikes.

 Ok, sounds like a big one Bob. Hopefully the balance comes back enough for you to get out now and again.
4000 track klms sure is a lot of laps of the island. 8)
