I've booked on to a track day with Focused Events at Mallary Park on Sunday 04 May 2008. Never been on a day organised by these guys before, however they've been well recommended by a friend.

As this is only my second track day on two wheels, and my first on the Rex, I'll be in the Amatuer group.

I'm not sure how strict they are on noise at Mallary, so I'll be carrying the exhaust baffles with me just in case, with it being a 105db limit. If anyone's had any experience with Mallary and noise please let me know.

You shouldn't have any problems with noise at Mallory - I never have

Focussed events are fine: as good as the others.

Mallory should be ok with loud cans, especially if it's 105db, although I thought all weekend events there were 98db?? That's still loud though. But if you've got your baffles with you, you've got it covered.

Enjoy! May the Fourth be with you! :D

:D Enjoy your day, I have been conned into playing football against the fire brigade at Peterborough Uniteds ground. For the girlies they have Jamie Rednapp playing for them, we have Darren Ferguson, heaven help us. (Now wheres me knee strap!)

What an awesome day! Thumbs up to the guys at Focused Events, the day flowed very well and I managed to get a total of 7 sessions in, so fantastic value for money.

Luckily there wasn't an issue with noise, so I didn't have to refit the baffles. I really enjoyed the lay out of Mallory and I was very pleased the Rex - she felt very nimble, stable and predictable; she had no problem at all keeping up with my mates on their Gixer 1000 for example.

The only I issue I had with her was the front brakes were well cooked after the fourth session, so the brake lever was all the way in to the handle bars for hard braking - I reckon a fluid change and possibly some fresh pads is all she'll need.

A couple of pics...
