Mallory Park - onboard video
At last, comprehensive proof that I am as fast as phuk
As my memory card was playing up a bit, this clip is only about 5 mins long and the sound is stuffed but ....

And this one was cut short because of a red flag

yes, Mallory is a very tight and physical circuit - still amazes me that the Superbikes still have a round there. A lot of people think it's a bit mickey mouse but I really like the place.bobtrx wrote:Good stuff phuk72 That is one tight track , I had trouble working it out for a lap or 2 , Where did you have the camera mounted and what type of set up are you useing?
There's a map here http://www.mallorypark.co.uk/SpectatorG ... fault.aspx
Camera is a cheapy (£50) helmet cam that records direct to a memory card. Forgot the mount so this was duck taped to the fairing!

Graham, They dont seem to use the new chicane for track days. Although i dont like the overbanding that is the exit to the chicane as it appears right at the exit apex to gerrards.
Peter and i rode in the inters. i was about the slowest in that group. but there was one guy in the white leathers who was really flying, he blasted past out of the bus stop on the first vid.

Nah - I'm just bloody fast
Seriously though, it was a fast group. It looks slower as I was running supersoft tyres and had no issues about them being warm so was on teh pace pretty much straight away. I was running at the top end of inters (with the obligatory one nutter who should be in the fast group) but I would have been destroyed in teh fast group as the BSB boys were testing. Scott Smart is an effing lunatic btw

phuk72 what brand of camera are you using, I'm looking at a oregon brand at the moment . I'm not happy with my current set up . 2 cheat cameras that are too light senstive for good footage and a mic with good sound . How does your sound usual come out, do you have the ability to use external mic with your camera
catch ewe later bob

Bob
these have got a very good reputation and i'm thinking of upgrading
http://www.firebox.com/product/1732?...&src_id=camera
i've got a Tony Hawk helmet cam atm which is cheap and cheerful. sound is as you can hear but is normally in sync. I have mounted behind screen before which eliminates most of the noise
whatever you do, do not buy a hard drive type - the vibrations will knacker it. best to go for digital record or direct to sd card
