G'day Guys, had my first outing with my new Oregon on Sunday and overall i'm quite pleased with the result. I've got it mounted on the tank, forward of the filler cap. At idle the picture is steady but at speed the picture wavers (not as bad as Phuks video tho) Seems to me to be electrical interference once the revs get up. Also the sound goes screechy above idle. I put some thick foam over the mic but it made no difference. I think it could be the FCR's emitting a noise my ears can't pick up. Didn't have it cut out either and i took it over some fast and bumpy tracks (Tambourine mountain) I'll try and post it up once i edit the boring bits out.bobtrx wrote: . Picture quality is very good , sound is ok may need to cover the mic with foam to reduce wind which wasn't too bad , could hear the exhaust note fairly well . He had the camera switch itself off similar to peter850 comments .Has anyone here brought one yet , any problems

I bought a real cheapie for £15.00 on Ebay last year, plugged it into the handycam via the AV socket and it works a treat! I mounted the camea on the RHS of the engine on a coolant hose, routed the cabling up the chassis to my tail-pack where I stash the camera. Cheap Thrills and as it's so low it look like I'm going as fast as f*ck...!
All I need to do now is figure out how to d/l video to the pc ...

Re: Mallory Park - onboard video
There is a new product out called "flycamone Version 2"
That looks to be about the size of a mobile phone and is very light. Available from robotbirds.com for about £44. Just need to get that past the wife! very tempting. Even the track day police would have trouble seeing that if mounted discreetly.
Anyone have one?

Although the pics look OK on YouTube, the video resolution is fairly low. I would like to know more about the DVD quality recording but seems to be cracking VFM

And the reviews seem to suggest it does not perform well with any vibrations
