Knockhill reverse direction trackday

Post by dandywarhol » Sat Sep 23, 2017 6:11 pm

Has a great dry trackday at Knockhill in Scotland today. Think that will be the last one on the TRX - old girl is too good to bin. Going to build this SZR 727 for next year - should be fun.

Here is a vid - turn your speakers low - usual shitty sound quality

Nice one Al, good challenge reverse direction with off cambers and change of apex .. Looks like it caught someone out on the last lap.
Couple of good battles and it's a little frustrating when they slow you down in the corners or ride defensively at the end of the straight.
But you got him in the end

It's a completely different circuit in that direction, many blind corners too

The KTM guy wasn't happy about being repassed and probably got a bit of dirty water on his screen when I touched the plastic kerbing @ 8.38.
You can just make out the Ducati 748 guy having a touching in the chicane towards the end. He came around the outside of me a few laps earlier at the hairpin and knew what he was doing to best not to get tangled. I think he ran a little wide at the chicane at touched another rider and came off worse................

good video Alan. that circuit is tight! I bet its perfect for the big singles.

I liked your favoured overtaking spot on the brakes at the end of the straight, eating up massive amounts of distance

It is tight! There is talk among BSB that is just isn't suitable for 240 BHP superbikes - there were some strange crashes this year, Haslam and Iddon in particular, loosing it on the back "straight" in clockwise direction

seems ridiculous that they still go there. they must only use 3 gears!
