OK, so just got my itinery through for Cadwell on 26th April. I case anyone else is thinking about it, it goes like this...

4.00 - 4.50pm sign on

5.00 - 5.15pm rider briefing

5.30 - 5:50pm group 1 on track

5.50 - 6.10pm group 2 on track

and rotate for 20 min sessions til track closes at 8.00pm

I reckon you'll get 3 or maybe 4 sessions in per group, all for £35 and a half day off work: can't be bad!

Focussed events website says there's pleanty of places left...

Dave.

I'd have jumped at this, but for the 370 mile round trip, which is a bit far for an evening do.

I would be up for an all day do, dependent on dates of course. All that riding for three 20 minute sessions is a bit much IMHO. I do fancy doing Cadwell though.

Mind you, I would also like to do Donnington.

And I shall look at Brands also (day or evening) as it's just up the road.

Dave, Looks like its just me and you for the TRXers. although my mate on a ZX6 has booked too, we are pretty even except on the straights where he has a bit more power.
I will be away next week but we can make arrangements to meet on the way early the following week, or just see you there.
Last time i think i met Tony who was "tonytrx" i think, at the roundabout
where the B6043 meets the A52 just east of Grantham. About 2.00pm, its probably only an hour from there to Cadwell.

Dave,

Is that the guy who came to Foxes with you late last year, or am I getting confused?!?

Got a mate going too, but he races an SV650 in MRO Minitwin and is racing at Cadwell on the Fri/Sat/Sun after, so will be going up earlier with his van/caravan/kitchen sink etc!

Give us a shout when you're back, and we'll arrange where to meet up on route.

What group you in? I think there only running two. I'm in group 1!!

We asked for intermediate because it feels safer riding with more experienced riders. you can probably change at sign on if you want to, or else i can take some pictures if we are in seperate groups.
yes it was Lee who came to Fox's, just cant seem to shake him off. we went to Brands last week but will miss Thruxton due to hols. Good riding country goin down there too.
Looking forward to cadwell think this is my fourth time on the trx there.

All set for thursday dave? looked at the weather last night and it is supposed to be dry and 23 deg!. Too much to hope that is true, but will
keep an eye on it. Does the above sound ok for a meet on the way?
(you do come from leicester dont you?).
Or we could meet you at the services on the A1 at colserworth which would mean you get to ride the B676 from Melton which is my favourite road.

Dave,

Yep all set, but don't know what weather you're looking at: this is the BBC site for Louth:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=2564

Sun/showers and 16 degrees. Hmm.

I'll be going on M1/A46 north of Leics, then A607 to Melton M, then usually A607 to Grantham, so could meet where A607 and A1 cross, west of Grantham, or if you're not going up A1 that far and taking B6403 from Colsterworth, the B6403/A52 roundabout is fine. Let me know.

Then would you go A52/A15/A17(briefly)/A153?

I'm about all day, so would a 1:30 meet be better?

Let me know.

Dave.

Dave, 1.30pm should be fine. would prefer where the B6043 meets the
A52 at the roundabout as we will be on the B6043 from Colserworth. Then we stay on B6043 till ancaster then its A153/A15/A17/A153.
We will be coming up on A14/A6003, then B668 from Oakham to A1, up to just past Colsterworth then pick up the B6043 which is a good fast road. Pretty straight for the most part.
I tend to use http://www.windguru.cz/int/
for my weather although it is based on sailing club weather stations so is
somewhat limited on locations but is usually more accurate than the old Beeb. (i also fly fish so like to know which way the wind is going and how strong)
