If ever there was ever a time to drop it, this was clearly it as the photographer was ready.

Impressive sequence of pics but what a shame to crash such a nice looking TRX.
Where were you on the circuit when you went down?
Hope you and the bike came away with nothing more than cosmetic damage............

happened at montreal and thankfully the leathers did their job for me and the crash bungs saved the engine getting scraped up on the bike, mainly in need of new paint, new peg, and screen so got off pretty lightly.

If you are running with stock pegs, I have a complete RH assembly (peg, pedal, mount) you can have for a tenner + p&p. See pic on my recent post in for sale section.
Can't tell if you are fitted with rearsets from the images.
Plsd the damage was not too severe.

Re: low sliding the trx at snetterton :(
could you give us a bit of background on the slip, how cold was it? What tyres?, what lap of session? what tyre pressures cold?.
Might be useful for us other track riders to learn something from your unfortunate experience.
Glad your ok though. If its any consolation i did manage to get it on the grass in my last session at Donington last week, stayed on it though, must be my enduro experience kicking in.
Be nice to see onother trx on track sometime, particlarly as mrdimwiddy is now no longer on a trx. Hope this hasnt put you off trackdays.
PS that back brake pipe looks really close to the road when cranked over.

Re: low sliding the trx at snetterton :(
hi dave, not sure what caused it exactly, could have been not enough heat in the tyres, was only 2nd or 3rd lap in, prob not experienced enough to be able to pin point it, just felt the front end go light and slide away from me in the corner.Silver wrote:could you give us a bit of background on the slip, how cold was it? certainly hasn't put me off track days though, I finished up the rest of the day at snetterton albeit minus a rear brake which I don't use on track anyway.
I will be on track again soon esp while it is in its bruised state as less worried about dropping it like that, and was really impressed with how the crash bungs performed in this senario.
be good to meet you down at the track some time.
