Don't panic but ... our hosting company is shutting up shop at the end of April and I'll have to move us elsewhere. It's a shame because the guy who ran it was really helpful. We won't lose the address (trx850.com), it's just the company that holds us up there on the web.

I will update this thread with news as and when I find a decent deal for moving and I'll let you know of any dates when we might have to live without a TRX fix for an hour or ten.

In the meantime, just a reminder that in order to keep this forum running I pay up front for all the website costs (and spend a fair bit of time doing the housekeeping). Last year the donations towards those costs were a long way short of breaking even. I don't mind, but, if you feel the urge to chuck some ££££s or $$$$s or €€€€s in my direction, the info on how to is in this bit..... CLICK HERE

Thanks for all the hard work Jak - sometimes it's easy to forget how the site works and keeps going.

It might be an idea to give some indication of running costs and members can then get an idea of what to donate to the cause - there will always be some who expect it for nowt but I suspect the majority would be willing to put a few £$ to keep an excellent site going

That's the story of the last few days. It wasn't a simple or straightforward process but I learnt an awful lot along the way. The forum itself was up yesterday but the admin bit wasn't. Just found the missing bit and fixed it ... now I just have 2½ days work to catch up on and I can go to sleep!!!!

Aside from that - we're now with a new hosting company, I know a helluva lot more about what I'm doing and the forum is alive and kicking.

At one point someone on Facebook said that they didn't think anyone used this forum any more. I did lose hope for a second!!!!!
